INCEPTION: 2020 Retirement & COVID

Three months into Covid, I retired from a long career about which I was super passionate. And with so much time on my hands (yeah right) I wanted to embark on a journey of discovery to expand my knowledge and experiences for my other passions: food, cocktails, photography, travel & The Universe (in general). I was certainly spending more time in the kitchen as we weren't traveling anywhere. I was anxious to experiment with new recipes, motivated by some new cookbooks (no I'm not yet a recipe creator) so naturally, I thought I could mix food and photography and start my own blog! Just one more fish in an eternal ocean of food blogs. Oh well, I convinced myself, "I'm doing it for me and if I can inspire just one or two people then it'll be worth it". As I do my market research I am humbled by the talent out there: from web design, to photography, to the oh-so eloquent blogging. I am hooked on David Lebovitz, Yottam Ottolenghi, José Andres, Jamie Oliver, Ina Garten, Kenji Lopez, Massimo Bottura, Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen and many more.
