Notes From the Test Kitchen: Nespresso Aerocino

Updated: Oct 19, 2021

After owning two Espresso machines (Gaggia and the Starbucks Barista) to keep us in daily Cappuccinos, I have to say that our days at the steam wand are over. The Aerocino is not an inexpensive gadget, though much cheaper when you buy it as a package deal with the Nespresso Vertuo Next.

We only bought the Nespresso to take on the road with us in our new trailer. Contrary to popular belief, Nespresso does have a free recycling program for their aluminum pods and used coffee grounds. At home we still use the Barista for coffee, but the Aerocino now lives in the kitchen (must remember to put it on the camping check list!)

What we love about it:

It operates silently, unlike the steam wand!

It turns itself off when done!

I can make coffee and froth milk at the same time!

It gives you whipped-cream-like froth every time!
