Spicy Chickpeas

Love this healthy, protein rich snack. One can easily eat a whole can of chickpeas roasted this way without even realizing it! I used a little olive oil, cayenne, paprika, onion and garlic powders and salt. Just add in your favourite spices: curry powder, cumin, coriander, turmeric, bagel seasoning........ The olive oil keeps the spices attached to the chickpeas!

Have fun with the flavours


Mix the spices in a bowl. In this case cayenne, paprika, onion and garlic powders and salt. Quantities are in the 1 tsp realm for each except for the salt (a pinch or two). Feel free to experiment.



Mix the spices with olive oil to coat the chickpeas



Roast until golden at 350°F and let cool. You don't want them to get too dry so keep an eye on them
