Nothing says welcome to Springtime better than an orangy sparkly Spritz.
The future is looking brighter, both figuratively and literally.
It was time to break out my favourite Spritz cocktail book (thank you J&J) and get some fizz on.
While Aperol is not the only bitter that can be used in a Venetian Spritz, it is the one I typically have on hand. Other bitters include Campari, and then some fairly obscure ones: Contratto Aperitif, Contratto Bitter, Mauro Vergano Americano, Cappelletti Aperitivo Americano

Build the ingredients in a rocks or wine glass over ice and garnish with a slice of orange or tangerine.
2oz Aperol
3-4oz Prosecco or Cava
2oz Soda Water
